AKA “Glitter Gulch”
This area came to life in the 1980’s when the Denali National Park became a popular attraction for tourism and travelers. This shopping, dining, and accommodation area is not actually an incorporated town, no one lives here in the winter! Glitter Gulch begins about one mile north of the Denali National Park entrance, and is about a mile long.
Aside from holding many hotels, an RV Park, and other rental accommodations, Downtown Denali also hosts many gift shops, restaurants, and activity centers. Most tour operators have an office for bookings and meeting points along the boardwalk. We highly suggest taking the time to stroll down the boardwalk and see what might catch your eye.
Our building, the main office for Denali Transit, Denali Tour Company, and U-Drive Denali Rentals, is located right in the middle, next to the Tesoro Gas Station.
